Vic's Barber Shop has been in downtown Hudson for many years serving the men of its community.  The shop, several years ago, moved from a central location to a side street due to rising rents.  As a way of preserving the presence and beauty of the old shop I enlarged an old snapshot into a 20x20 picture.  Vic's Barber Shop was featured in "Who do you think would win", a movie directed by comedian David Spade (https://www.metrowestdailynews.com/news/20170502/david-spade-filming-draws-crowd-in-hudson).  Its new location is airy and bright, filled with paintings and artwork collected by the owner.

Earlier this year I painted outdoors from a local bridge; the size is 18x24 inches; oil on linen. The subject is the Assabet River, a favorite destination for kayakers.

Here are a few sketches from a sporting event.  Can you tell which sport these spectators are watching?

Answer: These people were watching a rock climbing competition.  The actual climbers were moving too fast for sketching.  This was before the Covid-19 social distancing restrictions.
